Fresh Summer Menu 2025

Had a chance to try our new summer menu, yet? Your favorite Manto dumplings are of course staying, but the rest are fresh new recipes that we are so excited for you to try!

New summer dishes

One of our favorites this season is a new take on Ashak – a super popular dumpling in Afghanistan. Ashak is filled with leek and topped with minced meat and beans, plus a drizzle of yoghurt sauce. We tried making it as a rice paper pancake with the same fillings and condiments, and it was a dream come true. You just have to try this one!

Another new dish on the menu is our Hanoi Taco – a gluten-free double taco inspired by Vietnamese flavors! It’s filled with oven roasted oyster mushroom that we glaze with hoisin sauce and top off with fresh cucumber, leek, sweet chili mayo and fresh coriander. Salty, sweet and sour when you squeeze that little wedge of lime on top.

SABZI CHALAW
This large dish is a must-try! It’s a beautiful combination of a rich Sabzi spinach stew, golden saffron rice and white rice topped with pistachio, berberis and raisins, served with vegetable kofta balls in creamy sweet and spicy gravy. Together, these different dishes satisfies every little tastebud and we are confident you will thank us after trying it.

New summer cocktails

We just adore this years selection of summer cocktails that Elsa developed, and so far we only heard loving words from guests. Some even asked for recipes and specific brands of the unique liqueurs.

SUNNY SPRITZ
This one is giving off some serious sunshine! It has orange, yuzu, lemon and passion fruit. But wait it’s getting better: we also add sparkling wine, bitter aperitivo(locally made liqueur, similar to Aper*l) and Meadowsweet liqueur. For the nerds who are curious, Meadowsweet is called Älggräs in Swedish and our favorite liquor brand Spriteriet is hand picking them every year to make this super fragrant liquid gold! We just love it, but we use it sparingly not to overwhealm you with it’s potent aroma.

ORCHARD DRIFT
Our short cocktail of the season – a vodka sour made with black cardamom tea syrup, orange, fresh lemon juice and premium vodka from Purity Distillery here in Skåne. It is of course shaken super cold together with some aquafaba for that beautiful foamy top.

RHUBARB RUMORS
Can we change your perception on dill by serving you this cocktail? Probably. Who knew it would work so well in a gin & tonic together with ginger and rhubarb? Well, at least a lot of our guests from this summer now do. It’s honestly quite shocking (in a good way) and we encourage you to try at home or with us here at Manto.

New summer desserts

This summer our sweet treats are inspired by a classic ice cream from India and the other one is made with Japanese flavors in mind!

KULFI POPSICLE
Kulfi, need we say more? It’s the perfect summer treat. An ice cold and creamy popsicle! Our version is flavored with cardamom, rose and has a fresh mango swirl. Almost to good to be true, and very pretty aswell when topped with perfectly toasted pistachios!

RHUBARB SILK
We’re trying to find the words to describe this dessert without being disrespectful, because damn, it’s a sexy bowl! Pudding is not the perfect word, but maybe the closest we can get? I’s a combo of our favorite organic silken tofu from Yi-Pin, our home made ginger maple syrup, oven roasted rhubarb with orange blossom and crispy sesame lace cookies. A dessert that has it all, and that’s perfect to share!

Craving a little sweet treat and tea? Try our Afghan Teapot made with our best loose leaf green tea with cardamom, and served with a little bowl of nuts and dried fruit. This is exactly how we think tea should be enjoyed!
